Enterprise Application Architect – Hybrid Brussels

We have got open role: Enterprise Application Architect. It is a position for customer resources and services.

Work Location: hybrid  (2d onsite/3d remote)  Brussels

Fluent in English and preferable Dutch and/or French as second  language

Education and Training:

This role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, information systems, or related study field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience

• A minimum of eight years of experience in IT, in closely related domain (working as Enterprise Architect, Application Architect, … ). This is a Senior profile level position.
• Strategy and Management consulting experience is highly recommended to act as partner for Senior Management and CxO’s both from IT- as Business side. Required Knowledge and Skills
• Knowledge of compliance and Enterprise Architecture frameworks. Examples are TOGAF® and COBIT®
• Profound knowledge and experience in ArchiMate®, certification considered as an additional plus. Focus on Application and Technology layer.
• Experience with ADOIT Enterprise Architecture Suite is considered as an additional plus.
• Broad and in depth knowledge on several of following topics is essential: Cloud-Native Application Architecture, Data-, Event-driven & streaming architectures, Microservices, Low[1]Code/No-Code platforms, AI/ML, Edge Computing.
• Demonstrated communication, presentation and facilitation skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to technologists.

For the Enterprise Application Architects integration/API experience are highest priority.

As Enterprise Application Architect, you have the opportunity to provide strategic guardrails how SNCB’s business applications are being developed, deployed, integrated and modernized.

You ensure we have a fit for purpose application portfolio.

You are a key person in establishing the application portfolio vision, strategy and roadmaps. You have a influencer role on modeling, design and coding activities. You promote reuse of code and existing patterns. Today, we are investing heavily in API development and management. ·

Together with Solution – and Technical Architects you assess the application portfolio, you drive application rationalization, you focus on application modernization and you are involved in large transformation programs (e.g. Enterprise Data, ERP, … )

You work together with different stakeholders, e.g. Senior Management, SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) to ensure there is alignment between individual project strategies and solutions and the overall enterprise strategy. · In order to safeguard the application landscape you will align closely with the CISO teams.

You will join a team of Enterprise Architects each with a specialized role (Business, Application, Data & Technology (incl. Security) and act as a trusted internal advisor to our Management.
