Cloud Operations Specialist – Luxembourg

We currently have a vacancy for a Cloud Operations Specialist fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Luxembourg, Luxembourg. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Tasks:

Preparation of the Design of DevSecOps capabilities (e.g. observability, continuous monitoring, tractability);

Design and implementation of software automation and scripts to orchestrate cloud and virtualization technologies with defined scope, schedule and expectations, focusing on Operations and ensuring the availability and stability of cloud production environments;

Management of infrastructure, of change requests and change control procedures;

Management of configuration and administration of the cloud infrastructure and application as well as operations of SAS Viya platform, following the existing operation and administration procedures;

Security administration and monitoring, in adherence to the security rules imposed by central security service (complemented by local rules where needed);

Development and maintenance of the Cloud automated deployment scripts;

Assistance with the development teams in resolving software and other related problems associated with the cloud deployment infrastructure and the code.

Requirements

University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 9 years of relevant working experience in IT;

At least 2 years of experience in cloud services operation, preferably AWS;

At least 1 year of experience in cloud architecture and security;

At least 1 year of experience in infrastructure as code;

Experience with migrating IT systems from classic data centre to the cloud;

Good knowledge of IT systems administration, operations and security hosted in the public Cloud and/or Cloud on premises;

Good knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems, Data Bases, virtualization technologies, Identity and Access Management technologies, Kubernetes, containers and scripting languages for infrastructure deployment;
